Access Versions

As a non-registered user you can see contact details of all patent attorneys who have created a profile on Patent-Pilot. These information are directly visible in the results of the search pages.

Addidtional information are visible for registered users only. The Basic Access is free of charge and will show you names and contact details of all patent attorneys in our database.

The Professional Access displays even more details. Using this version, you can also see profiles of non-registered patent attorneys and patent law firms. For these profiles, we analyze our database and create statistics about their patent application activities, technological specializations and key figures which allow you to evaluate the quality of work of patent attorneys and patent law firms. Moreover, all applications represented and all epmloyees of a law firm are linked on each profile.

Database and search algorithm

The Patent-Pilot database is based on 2.3 million EPO patent applications which have been represented by more than 8,000 patent attorneys or patent law firms. These are all patent applications which name a representative on the document.

Our algorithm scans titles of patent applications and respective address information for relevant search terms or cities/postal codes. Titles can be searched in all three official languages of the European Patent Office: English, German, and French!
